Why is it that these 2 have a bearing on gambling?
Think back, you're on vacation in Las Vegas and after a first day spent
at a casino, your partner says to you in bed, "I think I've worked
out a way to always win on the roulette table". Or there is an argument
between you and the non gambler asks the question: "Why do you gamble?".
You see these two are direct examples. The
person who thinks they have a way to win is bearing on the scientific
side, and the question of why a person gambles is for the philosophical
table.
We never stop to think about it, but maybe if you read a few of the
sections here you'll begin to get a little more insight into what has
become of the whole gambling phenomena. If there is something you'd like to add to this section, we are welcoming
reader articles and will be publishing them on the website in the future.
Maybe we will even host a bulletin debate at a later stage, but for
now we can get the dice rolling and send us your
thoughts!. Something Plato said:
If the study of all these sciences which we have enumerated, should ever bring us to their mutual association and relationship, and teach us the nature of the ties which bind them together, I believe that the diligent treatment of them will forward the objects which we have in view, and that the labour, which otherwise would be fruitless, will be well bestowed.
