LAS VEGAS, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Phantom Fans from all around the globe will gather in Las Vegas this September when Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular hosts a week-long celebration of all things Phantom during the first ever Phantom Fans Week.
As one of the week's many highlights Phantom is pleased to announce that two lucky fans will participate in a once in a lifetime makeover event. At Friday morning's Insider Session, Phantom's opulent costumes, makeup, wigs and masks await two lucky fans who will undergo actual transformations into "The Phantom" and "Christine." Associate Costume Designer Sam Fleming will select two fans to undergo a unique makeover by Phantom's award-winning hair and makeup artists. Actual materials from the show will be used in this exciting makeover experience. Although these lucky participants may arrive at the Insider Session as fans, they will emerge from the shadows as the Opera Ghost and his star pupil.
Also just announced is the host location of Thursday night's Masquerade Ball Welcome Party. The breathtaking St. Mark's Square at The Venetian will play host to fans dressed in their most elaborate masquerade attire for this meet-the-cast event. St. Mark's Square, a multi-million dollar authentic replica of the actual St. Marks Square, will be bustling with the carnival atmosphere of Venice, the perfect backdrop for a night full of special surprises courtesy of The Grand Canal Shoppes. This exclusive event will be a spectacular kick-off to an exciting week of Phantom festivities.
Phantom fans have the chance to be a part of Phantom history at this first-ever global gathering to celebrate the most beloved musical of all time. The week's Insider Sessions will provide fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes access and once in a lifetime opportunities such as meeting the Phantom cast, including a Q&A with Tony Award-winner Anthony Crivello who plays "The Phantom." In other sessions, fans can hear about how the Opera Garnier of Paris was recreated specifically for The Venetian, and meet an only-in-Vegas Phantom star, Maria, the one-ton, 15 foot-wide, 16 foot-tall chandelier.
Famed director and twenty-one time Tony Award-winner, Hal Prince, will enlighten the group with a keynote address to close out the extraordinary week. Fans will hear about his career, his work on The Phantom of the Opera and the process of transitioning The Phantom of the Opera into the 95-minute Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular.
With different registration levels available, fans can spend a full week or a short weekend; the activities and registration fees have been developed to accommodate any travel schedule or budget. All registration levels include admission to all six Insider Sessions, including the keynote address by famed Director Hal Prince and makeover session with Sam Fleming, the chance to take in up to four performances of Phantom and exclusive access into the grand Masquerade Ball at St. Mark's Square with the cast of Phantom. If that's not enough, fans can partake in special add-on events, such as dinner with Executive Producer Scott Zeiger at Wolfgang Puck's Postrio Restaurant or the Farewell Brunch at Bouchon Restaurant.
Registration is underway and the first early registration discount deadline is fast approaching. Fans who register before June 25 will receive a $25 per person discount. For more information or to register for Phantom Fans Week, please visit http://www.phantomvegasoffers.com/fansweek.
