CelebPoker Champ Stars in I'm A Celebrity USA

LONDON, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- CelebPoker's resident Texas Hold 'em coach and established movie actor,Lou Diamond Phillips is playing a whole new game this summer as the star ofI'm A Celebrity... Get Me out of Here! USA.

The former professional Poker player and star of Young Guns, who is nowthe face of the CelebPoker.com Poker School, is proving a big hit in theAmerican version of the show, which also includes Stephen and Daniel Baldwin,brothers of Alec, and Janice Dickinson, who was runner up in the Britishseries in 2007.

"It's great to see Lou proving such a hit in I'm a Celebrity and we'rehoping he'll show the same staying power in the show that he's demonstratedat the Poker table," said David Donovan, Chief Executive Officer ofCelebPoker.com. The 47-year-old actor, who also directs movies and television shows,entered the show when it began on June 1st and has been game for all thechallenges that the show's producers have thrown him, beating all the othercontestants to win 'Hang Tough' a game that involved hanging from steel barsabove a tank of stagnant water.

"The team are all glued to the coverage of the show, which we can catchover here on ITV2 and we've got our fingers crossed that Lou can win thisone," added David, "In some ways it's a bit like poker as you need to maskyour true feelings and hang in there if you want to win the big prize."

When I'm a Celebrity comes to an end, Diamond Phillips will return towork on the TV mini-series Love Takes Wing, which he is currently directing,as well as a part in Stargate Universe and the lead role in paranormal movie,The Invited.
