LAS VEGAS, June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Construction is underway for Hakkasan Las Vegas, an upscale dining experience with a lavish lounge and nightclub created by Hakkasan Ltd. and its partners Angel Management Group (AMG). Unveiling this December at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, the notable development has taken over the former Studio 54 space and the main exterior facade at one of the busiest intersections on The Strip: Las Vegas Boulevard South and Tropicana Avenue.

Spanning approximately 75,000-square-feet over five levels, the space will offer a number of experiences including Hakkasan's signature restaurant and lounge as well as a new nightclub component, signifying an evolution of the prestigious brand that is unique to its Las Vegas location. The two venues will embody the design philosophy of Hakkasan, built on the design foundations of the luxurious interior at its flagship London location. Hakkasan Las Vegas will capture the distinctive modern Chinoiserie with rich interiors, epitomizing a cool charm that translates into a luxurious and contemporary environment.

Hakkasan's original location in London's Hanway Place opened in 2001, becoming the only Chinese restaurant in Europe to receive a Michelin Star.
