Desperate Housewives Become Online Poker Affiliates
| 05 September 2006 |
Three Housewives out of Toledo, OH have teamed up to become online poker affiliates after many long hours of searching for legit work at home jobs. After a year of buying and trying different programs and scams, they claim to have found their niche.
Jennifer 26, Kandice 29, and Nikki 28, learned about affiliating for online poker rooms through Jennifer's husband Eric who is also an online poker affiliate, he owns the website www.pokerbonusworld.com. Jennifer says, "It really never crossed my mind to become an affiliate for poker rooms because I'm a woman, I've always thought of my husbands business as something only men do." That may have been the case when poker first originated 1829, but players such as Annie Duke and Kathy Liebert have proved that poker isn't only for men.
Affiliating for online poker rooms can be very rewarding. In 2005 Partypoker.com paid out over 75 million dollars to their marketing partners with their top paid affiliate generating close to 1 million dollars. Most online poker rooms offer their affiliates $65-$150 for every new player that signs up and makes a cash deposit. Currently there are over 600 online poker rooms to affiliate for, which indicates there is a lot of money to be made in the business.
To get the most out of affiliating for online poker rooms, it is best to have a website dedicated to online poker. There are other ways to promote online such as banners and email campaigns, as well as offline. Most poker rooms offer free promotional flyers and software cds that can be placed on counters in stores.
The housewives are in the process of building a website for women who are interested in working from home. Kandice says," Our goal is to teach women how to affiliate for online poker rooms instead of wasting their time sinking money into get rich quick schemes." In the meantime, the women have created web page that can be visited at www.largestwebsiteever.com
So far, the three women have only signed up with partypoker.com but claim to be getting significant results. The housewives say they have earned over $3000 in the past month mostly by using offline marketing materials. Jennifer explains," We go to local poker games and pass out software cds to the players, I'm pretty sure that's where we get most of our sign ups, but we also distribute flyers to privately owned mini-mart stores, it's working out very well so far and we are very pleased." It looks to be the once desperate housewives aren't so desperate anymore!
