HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today publicly released on its web site the order and adjudication that contain the reasons for its decision to grant an extension of two years for Philadelphia Entertainment and Development Partners, LP (Foxwoods) to make 1,500 slot machines available for play.
The documents are available for download and printing by visiting the Gaming Control Board's website www.pgcb.state.pa.us, and choosing a link under the What's New section on the home page titled "Orders & Adjudication for 8/28/09 Foxwoods decisions."
The Board's decision was reached following an open public hearing on August 28, 2009 on the request by Foxwoods to receive an extension of up to two years to commence slot operations with a minimum of 1,500 slot machines. The hearing permitted the Board to collect evidentiary materials and ask questions of Foxwoods representatives.
While granting the request, the Board placed a number of conditions and stipulations on the extension, while also reaffirming that its decision is applicable only to placement of a slots casino at the originally-approved location on Columbus Boulevard at Reed Street.
