Findings will detail total annual impact on CA economy, job and income creation, tax revenue generation, support for non-gaming tribes and surrounding communities

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA) and Beacon Economics will release the findings of a statewide economic impact study measuring the benefits of tribal government gaming on California's economy at a news conference in Sacramento on Wednesday.

The economic impact study, commissioned by CNIGA and conducted by Beacon Economics, a leading independent economic research firm, surveyed gaming and non-gaming tribes across the state, including a cross section of large and small casinos in urban and rural markets with a range of amenities including hotels, restaurants, retail establishments and entertainment venues.

The study release will detail the impact of tribal government gaming on:

     --  Annual economic impact on California's economy;     --  Job creation and income;     --  Tax revenues for state and local governments;     --  Support for non-gaming tribes;     --  Benefits to surrounding communities. 

The news conference will be held at the Marriott Residence Inn in Downtown Sacramento, a property owned by a tribal partnership that includes the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians, both of which were participants in the economic impact study.
