MASHANTUCKET, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Foxwoods Resort Casino® today reported that its slot revenue for the month of June 2012 was $49.5 million compared to $51.0 million for the same period in 2011. Visitors wagered $575.7 million during the month, a decline in handle of 6.6 percent from the $616.4 million in June 2011.

Foxwoods’ slot machine revenue for the first half of 2012 has leveled in a narrow range around $50.0 million a month. The Resort Casino has several signature events planned for the summer including the return of popular comedian Jerry Seinfeld in early August along with its “Swing for the Fences” promotion with the Boston Red Sox in July.

Foxwoods contributed $13.2 million to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in June 2012, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state of Connecticut since the Resort Casino opened in 1992 to more than $3.37 billion.
