| 13 July 2010 |
LAS VEGAS, July 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), a global leader in creating the games players love and network systems that improve the player experience, announced today that its Network System Users Conference scheduled for next week, July 20-21, at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is reaching record attendance levels thanks to a powerful lineup of engaging and informative events that include more than 50 training and strategy sessions and more than 15 guest speakers. IGT systems customers can register until Friday, July 16 by visiting www.IGT.com/UsersConference. Conference registration is complimentary for all current IGT systems customers.
"IGT is excited to host this year's event at ARIA," said Eric Tom, chief operating officer for IGT. "ARIA is uniquely positioned as the most technologically advanced casino in the world and provides the perfect backdrop for IGT's most engaging Users Conference ever."
IGT's Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Research and Development, Chris Satchell, will offer attendees a valuable glimpse into the future of their business during Tuesday's "Connecting with Customer 2.0" lunch session. In his former role as Microsoft's chief technology officer for its Interactive Entertainment Business, Satchell was responsible for technical strategy and execution across the video gaming business including Xbox, Games for Windows, Xbox LIVE and Microsoft Game Studios. At the conference, Satchell will share insights on community gaming, cooperative play, player personalization and lessons learned from the world of video gamers. Asking the questions, "Who is tomorrow's casino player?" and "How can we tap into that audience?" Satchell will share insights on the increasingly digital lives of consumers and how new methods of engagement and communication can help with player attraction and retention efforts.
"IGT's Network Systems Users Conference offers customers more than just training," said Tom. "Perhaps most importantly, attendees will experience how IGT Advantage, sbX(TM) and the Service Window all integrate seamlessly within a live casino environment. Also, the conference's Interactive Area allows for live, hands on demonstrations of all Network Systems products, the chance to speak face-to-face with product experts and provides the perfect spot to visit with industry peers."
This year's event offers attendees 10 tracks of sessions grouped by topic including tracks dedicated to Executive Outlook, Bonusing and sbX(TM). Tracks are open to all attendees, so customers may pick and choose the level of detail they would like to hear about a variety of topics. A full list of conference tracks is available at www.IGT.com/UsersConference. Guest speakers include Lyle Bell, Chairman, Gaming Standards Association, and Senior Vice President of Information Technology for Seminole Gaming; Mike Volkert, Vice President of Slot Marketing & Operations for ARIA Resort & Casino; and Fernando Facal, Marketing & Operations Director for Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo.
