Lasseters Corporation Managing Director Peter Bridge said the agreement with OGS would give Lasseters access to new gaming software, named FIRE.
This advanced software will allow Lasseters to expand its current online casino offer and launch multi lingual sites for the international market.
Mr Bridge said the FIRE software would allow Lasseters to increase its penetration of non-English language markets including those in South America, Asia and Europe.
It would also deliver substantial savings in operational costs of about $1 million annually, make all the Lasseters online casino sites easier to use, with a potential to increase activity by existing players and attract new players.
"The FIRE software means we can now integrate multi lingual casino sites into our online casino oper ations, vastly improving our offer to the international market place," Mr Bridge said.
He said Lasseters strategy for online casino development involved tailoring its product to meet the needs of the international market place. A move to United States Dollar playing units last year, from Australian currency, had already substantially
increased turnover.
"This is another way of improving our online casino offer so it has even greater appeal in a competitive international market. We already have players in more than 200 countries but we will be able to offer sites in a variety of languages and attract more players from some of the world's fastest growing online gaming markets.
"The software will also greatly reduce the time it takes players to initially download games before starting to play. We expect it will lead to increased player registrations and activity across the board".
He said arrangements in place with OGS would greatly reduce Lasseters operating costs, and if applied to current trading levels would deliver the estimated annual savings of about $1 million.
The new software has been undergoing acceptance testing and customisation to ensure it complies with Northern Territory regulatory standards.
Lasseters has given notice to terminate its agreement with its current software supplier Access Gaming Systems Pty Ltd.
Lasseters Corporation last week announced its maiden annual profit of $320,485 for the year to June 30. The profit was struck off turnover of $463.8 million, an increase of 46%, and revenue of $18.4 million ? a lift of 23% for the year.
