HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/
--Amid hundreds of spectators, the Pennsylvania Lottery conducted its live, 6:59 p.m. drawing tonight at the 94th Pennsylvania Farm Show.

This is the seventh consecutive year the Lottery broadcast its live evening drawing from the Farm Show.

Department of Revenue Deputy Secretary Robert Freedenberg served as guest drawing official selecting the winning numbers for The Daily Number, Big 4, Cash 5, Quinto and Mix & Match.

Including tonight's drawing, the Pennsylvania Lottery has conducted 11,360 live, televised drawings. More than $27.8 billion in prizes has been paid to players since the first Daily Number was drawn in March 1977.

Three Lottery drawing officials, a certified public accountant, an accountant, two senior citizens serving as witnesses, a camera crew and an announcer all participate in each evening's drawing. Each official evening draw is preceded by 12 test draws and followed by three post-draws, which are conducted to certify the performance of the drawing equipment and the randomness of the official winning numbers.

Visitors to the Farm Show can purchase Lottery tickets and learn more about the programs funded by the Pennsylvania Lottery at the Lottery's exhibition booth, located in the Main Hall next to the Pennsylvania Marketplace and just inside the Maclay Street entrance on the west end of the building. The Lottery booth is open throughout the Farm Show.

About the Pennsylvania Lottery: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery that designates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents.
