A San Diego man has won a world record penny-slot jackpot of nearly $2.1 million, Viejas Casino officials said.
The man - whose name, age and occupation were withheld - hit a jackpot of $2,065,685 Monday night on a "Twilight Zone" penny slot machine, casino officials said yesterday.
The slot is part of a so-called "wide-area progressive" system operating under the trademark name MegaJackpot. The system links machines at different tribal casinos together to offer potentially large payouts.
