LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Poker, sangria and football - this summer is shaping up to be really hot! From the 13th to the 17th June, the third stage of the Mega Poker Series deepstack tournament took place in Madrid and many players from Europe - and also Brazil and Canada - took part! The Mega Poker Series, sponsored by Poker770, is becoming more and more famous as it offers a great structure enabling the players to develop excellent strategies.

Prior to each stage many great online and live satellites are organised. Many players qualified for the main event of the MPS Madrid via online satellites on Poker770 with buy-ins starting at just $0.24. Live satellites were available at the Poker Royale Casino in Wiener Neustadt (Austria), in the Casino de Spa (Belgium) as well as in the Casino Gran Madrid prior to the MPS.

In order to offer a special poker adventure to the players, Poker770 closely co-operates with experienced EPT tournament director Thomas Kremser, as well as Alex Teufel and 5 Stars Events. The MPS Madrid took place in the Mandalay Room of the Casino Gran Madrid. The well structured $770-Main Event offered the players 77,000 starting chips, 60-minute blind levels on Day 1 followed by 77-minute levels on Days 2 - 4. Several players made use of the re-entry opportunity as well as late registration until the end of level 4. The organisers expected a prizepool of $200,000. Due to the fact that there were 507 entries to the main event in Madrid - the prizepool increased to an incredible $344,250! This prize pool size enabled 63 poker players to achieve a paid position (ITM) and the winner was awarded $65,000!

The Mega Poker Series Madrid offered very attractive Side events too. Among others, the following side events were organised and well attended: NLHE Bounty Side Events, $330-NLHE Side Event, $220-NLHE Side Event and $1650-NLHE Highroller Side Event. As reporting plays an important part of the live tournaments - several poker reporters joined forces to write interesting articles, co-create video-interviews and take great photographs. The Spanish players dominated the final table which consisted of 7 Spaniards, 1 Portuguese and 1 French. Spanish player Samuel Bernabeu is the lucky winner of the MPS Madrid main event and pocketed $65,000!

The 4th stage of the Mega Poker Series will take place beginning of October in Croatia - enabling many players to combine the poker adventure with the sun, beach and all the great sporting activities the Croatian coast offers.
