Reel-TV(TM) Approved By Gaming Laboratories International (GLI)
| 22 July 2010 |
LAS VEGAS, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Reel-TV, a Las Vegas-based technology/advertising company that serves the gaming industry, has been approved by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI.) Through Reel-TV's patent pending technology, high-resolution video advertising can be methodically scheduled, delivered, and reported in real time to slot machines on the casino floor.
"This is great news for us and the many casinos that are interested in using our product. Approval by GLI will allow us to move forward and meet the demand that we have been experiencing ever since Reel-TV's recent launch at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas," said developer and Reel-TV principal, Keith Atkinson.
Reel-TV is the result of extensive research and product development in the area of electronic gaming devices and truly transforms the casino floor into a versatile advertising medium. Idle slot machines are now an added visual attraction as the slot machine's normal interface is replaced with an advertiser's message. After a machine is idle for 60 seconds, an advertiser's message will display for 15 seconds followed by 30 seconds of game display then continuing to a 15 second commercial. Once a guest begins to interact with the machine, video will cease and the user will be able to experience uninterrupted play.
For more than 20 years, Gaming Laboratories International has been the world leader in independent testing for the gaming industry. With 16 testing laboratories spread across Africa,
Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America, GLI is the only global organization of its kind to hold both U.S. and international accreditations for compliance with ISO 17025 and 17020 standards for technical competence in testing and inspection services.
GLI's business is to test, review and report on gaming devices and systems against the standards established by relevant gaming jurisdictions worldwide. Each jurisdiction has the authority to set their own standards; however, many use GLI's standards as a starting point in developing their regulations. For more information visit www.gaminglabs.com.
