Rivers Casino Debuts in Pittsburgh with MICROS's 9700 Hospitality Management Suite

COLUMBIA, Md., May 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that Rivers Casino has selected the MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS), Kitchen Display System, Guest Connection, Mobile MICROS, and JTECH Paging Solutions. Rivers Casino will go live with the complete MICROS solution in August 2009.

MICROS 9700 HMS was selected after its success was proven in a sister property, the Riverwalk Casino, where the MICROS solution has been praised for its ease-of-use and functionality. The MICROS Kitchen Display System (KDS), which displays food orders on a monitor in the kitchen, will increase the speed of service and ensure that Rivers Casino has highly efficient kitchen operations. Mobile MICROS, a popular 9700 handheld solution, is to be used by cocktail waitresses to drive revenue on the casino floor. MICROS's Guest Connection will manage reservations, seating, and capture guest history to ensure that Rivers Casino provides the best service to everyone who walks through its doors.

To complete its comprehensive solution, Rivers Casino is implementing Wireless Communication Systems from JTECH, a MICROS subsidiary, to notify guests when their table is ready in the restaurants and to alert guests when their order is up in the cafe.
