With the tech world still abuzz after the launch of the iPhone three weeks ago, a new mobile phone application is set to steal Apple's thunder.

UltimateBet pro Phil Hellmuth today announced the launch of Texas Hold'em 2007 with Phil Hellmuth, a follow-up release to the best selling mobile poker game, Texas Hold'em by Phil Hellmuth.

"I'm amazed at how crisp and clear the new poker game looks on a cell phone," said Hellmuth. "Not to mention the ease of play and the new options ... it's cutting edge."

The new version of the poker game by Oasys Mobile brings to the table realistic 3D graphics and a feature that allows Texas Hold'em players to create their own custom avatars. Fans of the poker game can also search for their friends and chat with players at a table, bringing the game even closer to a real world experience.

Launching an enhanced version of the software this year is more than fitting. On June 11th, Hellmuth captured his record-shattering 11th WSOP bracelet after winning a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event. That win makes Hellmuth the only player in poker history to have earned 11 WSOP bracelets. Days after his WSOP bracelet win, the UltimateBet pro was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. Needless to say, 2007 will no doubt go down as a milestone year for Phil Hellmuth.
