Blending into the middle of the poker crowd is the website Poker Ocean. It’s an above-the-board poker room on many levels, but the downsides seem to catch up and keep the site from rising to mainstream status. They do offer good sign-up bonuses, monthly refill rewards, and other great promotions that welcome new players to their site.

Their software is also good, and offers players high reliability, increased security, and a terrific graphic interface. Many unique features are available at Poker Ocean, including a buddy list, a distinctive take on player notes, hand history replays, and a unique player rewards program. The site is still growing, by and large, so the level of competition is fairly mixed. You can find a lot of fish, or you can easily be suckered in by an old pro that’s looking to accomplish the same edge as you.

Poker Ocean is another in a long line of poker sites using the PlayTech software. With this software, players get great visuals, a lobby, an easy-to-navigate site, and stable game play. They have regular sit-n-go tournaments available, with stakes ranging from $1 to $200.

They also have regular big jackpot games, and satellites for entry into the World Series of Poker and multiple World Poker Tour events, along with Million Mania, Legends of Poker, and more. Their $100,000 Fort Knox tournament is a favorite of site regulars. Poker Ocean’s game variety is about as average as you can imagine. Though the software is great and the games look and run fantastic, they only offer Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and Stud games (variations on all three, however).

Cons: The fact that no one knows about the great features keeps players away, thus limiting the action on a large scale. Also, no U.S. players are allowed. They also have a low amount of high stakes players, and the game variety is a little below average.
