Candy Cottage seems to be some strange adaptation of a surreal fairy tale, though I can’t really tell which one it’s trying to depict. I suspect it’s a play off Rumplestiltskin, a Brothers Grimm character which originated in Germany.

The graphics are indeed surreal and I’m not sure I like them, though the game does have some interesting sounds and even more interesting features.

To start off with, there is an expanding wild which is obviously nice for creating those bigger wins, however the feature to look out for is the Bonus round triggered with 3 or more CAGE symbols. After the CAGE falls from the screen and is dragged away, you play the EAT UP bonus round.

Use the mouse to move side to side and try to eat the falling candy. The more you eat the more you win.

The other feature is a standard 10 free spins with triple multiplier.

Overall, it’s OK, but nothing that I would shout home about.
