I’ve just downloaded the latest new I-slot and it’s looking great on my screen. Cosmic Quest Mission Control is the latest (Jun2008) interactive slot machine by the new Rival gaming software company. You’ll find a list of recommended casinos at the bottom of this review.

This slot machine is a cool space themed video slot machine with 5 reels and 20 paylines. The real feature on this machine is the bonus games which are totally skill based bonuses. This marks a change from the traditional chance based bonus features on other slot machines.

The graphics and animations on this game are fantastic. The sound effects add that extra atmosphere as well to create this overall feel which is just so cool.

This first bonus feature is a free spin round where the old wild symbol of the rocket will become an expanding wild. You trigger this round by hitting 3 or more scatter Monkey. During the free spins, any rockets will lift off the reels making the entire reel wild.

The other bonus feature is the asteroid shooting bonus game. Trigger this by hitting 3 or more pink Astronaut. After a short introduction and instructions on how to play the game, you’ll enter the screen where you must use the arrow keys to move the spaceship around the screen and use the space bar to fire rays at the oncoming asteroids. Each type of asteroid will yield a different prize. All you have to do is avoid getting hit.

This is clearly a new approach to the bonus game and it is really cool. Cosmic Quest is without a doubt a great new game which you’ll all enjoy over and over again.

Ah, reminds me of the days of table top arcades. I like the fact that there has been an attempt at more interactivity in bonus rounds, but it still isn't completely free range interactive.
