Well, I've seen plenty of slot games that tie-in with action movies, but a Forrest Gump slot indicates the world of gambling is branching out in an entirely new direction. The reels present you with pics of various symbols from the film including the characters Forrest himself, his sweetheart Jenny and the Platoon Leader from his Army days Lieutenant Dan Taylor.

There's plenty of variety to keep you entertained in this fantastic slot from Wagerlogic. First, look out for FORREST ON THE PARK BENCH - he's WILD and appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4, substituting for all other symbols except Scattered Chocolates. Any prizes are doubled for winning combos in which FORREST appears as wild.

The BOX OF CHOCOLATES Feature is awarded when 3 or more SCATTERED CHOCOLATES appear anywhere on the reels. In this, 9 chocolate boxes will appear in a 3x3 grid. Initially, you begin with 5 Chocolate Rounds. Click the boxes to win more, until you find the ‘Play' box. Then begins the next stage - another 3x3 grid appears in which various chocolates drop into place - the right combinations will win you cash prizes.

There's also the RUN FORREST RUN FEATURE which you get to play if 3 or more FOOTBALLS appear on an active payline. This begins with real video footage from the movie, showing action in the football stadium. The game scene then appears - you view Forrest from behind running up the field and you need to use the two arrow buttons at the bottom of the screen to dodge opposing players coming to tackle you and bring you down. The further you run, the more will be your prize from the feature. I did a 100 yard run, the full length of the field which gave me $350 from a $12.50 initial bet. I was also treated to more video footage, where Forrest carries on running with the ball out of the stadium!

Finally there's Wagerlogic's trademark HOLLYWOOD JACKPOTS. This is awarded at random and no matching symbols are required. Higher wagers will increase your chances of triggering this feature that has 5 levels of increasing prize value: Smash, Epic, Classic, Acclaimed and Blockbuster. You'll see 9 film reels in a square 3x3 arrangement - and you need to pick 4 of them. Each reel will reveal a number of points. You must accumulate a number of points to advance to the next level. Each time you advance, you'll see 9 new reels of which you again choose 4 to reveal the points and with luck accumulate enough to advance again.

There's so much in Forrest Gump the slot game, and it's full of surprises - you have to play it to believe it. I got to play the Run Forrest Run feature 6 or 7 times in the short time I was spinning the reels. His famous quote “Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get” could really be true for anyone playing this.
