Our hopes were high on this new progressive game from PartyGaming called The Godfather, however as with previous titles released, this is a complete disappointment.

It's such a shame because the theme is so rich and plentiful but the game itself has been a very poor adaptation. This doesn't fair well for PartyGaming because of their big brand, it seems they can get big name official license for games with TV or movies themes. However from their current poor track record of adaptations, including the last 2 Saturday Night Fever and Mission Impossible, we are holding our hands in out heads!

Back to this game, it's a 5 reel with 20 pay lines. It has 4 jackpots ranging from high to low and the only way to win them is through the bonus feature round.

First of all there is a free spin round which is triggered with an ORANGE on reel 1 and a HORSE HEAD on reel 5. Although you can get up to 12 free spins, none of the wins are multiplied. They are played at the same bet level.

In order to get the bonus round triggered, you must get 3 or more scatters RINGS in a row from reels 1 to 3 or in reverse from reels 5 to 3.

This is an unusual trigger mechanism, and as we play tested this game for 4 hours we found it was next to impossible to trigger this round. The notion of a scatter symbol is that there shouldn't be reel restrictions. However in this game, it seems the scatters are only scatters if found on adjacent reels.

You might think with all the feature mistakes, they may have great sound and graphics, but NO, they are just as lack luster as the whole game. Poor graphics, simple and awful animations and poor sounds too.

Overall I'd stay well clear of this game. It just doesn't cut it when you have such incredible games being released from all other casinos.
