Here’s another addition to Playtech’s portfolio of Marvel Comic themed slot games. X-Men the slot game brings the heavily armed saviors of humanity to life on 5 reels, with plenty of opportunities to win and make a different kind of killing.

X-Men’s FREE GAMES feature has a twist. During the Free Spins, the reels switch between 2 modes: HEROES MODE and VILLAINS MODE. In Villains Mode, you get 8 Free Spins, and the game will switch to Heroes Mode when XAVIER appears, who has EXTRA WILD status. In Heroes mode, you get UNLIMITED FREE SPINS, and the game will switch to Villains Mode when MAGNETO appears on the reels, who again has EXTRA WILD status.

The FREE SPINS feature is triggered by 3 or more X-MEN LOGOS and begins in Heroes Mode. Each time it switches to Villains Mode, it will continue with the number of Free Spins remaining from the last switch.

There is also the X-FEATURE – another unique feature for a slot game. This requires you to land 5 HEROES in the positions on reels 2, 3 and 4 in a X-formation (see the 3^rd image in the screen shots below). This brings about an immediate payout of 5x your total bet.

Overall, a superb game. I made winnings over 100 Grand from Free Spins alone – this is certainly a game I’ll be returning to.
