Carbon Poker is a newer poker site to hit the internet. But they’re definitely heading in the right direction in terms of software, game-play, and promotions. Carbon Poker is often regarded as being the new Poker.com, since they share the same skin and features (note: Carbon, as in carbon copy).

The site is open for U.S. players, making it a very popular underground site. It uses the software perfected by Poker.com, and is only the second site to use it, making Carbon Poker very unique. The software is based on a Flash module, which means it is a low-weighting program that can be easily resized with no quality loss whatsoever. Carbon Poker offers players the ability to take notes and chat together in a lobby community.

Since Carbon Poker’s network is relatively small, they don’t host massive amounts of players like Party Poker and other similar sites. But that doesn’t mean you can’t easily find a game at Carbon Poker. At peak hours, there are more than 8000 players taking part in all of their games.

They also fail to offer any real poker satellites like so many other sites, but you can still find a great freeroll and other multi-player tournaments around. Carbon Poker offers more games than a lot of sites twice its size. You can choose from Texas Hold’em, Omaha, 7-Card Stud, 5-Card Stud, 5-Card Draw, Razz, Triple Draw, and even Budagi, which is a variation on Chinese poker. The games are available in limit, pot limit, and no-limit, and the table limits are spread out to cover all bases.

The Comp Points you earn at Carbon Poker are given to you for being a loyal member. Like some of its sister sites, Carbon Poker gives you 100-times the small blind if you happen to strike lucky with a royal flush (if you’re holding at least one hole card).
